Broadcast in California that Mormons were asked to watch. This is the full transcript.

Below is the link to the broadcast given by the leadership of the Mormon church in relation to Prop 8. How this does not cross the line into lobbyism I have no idea.

I would appreciate it if you'd just stay away from our blog and not write anymore comments. Not that I'm "closed-minded" or anything like that, I just like to see what our "friends" have to say. Not random people who have nothing better to do than find people's blogs that say stuff they don't agree with. So thanks!

I'm so sorry that you don't want random people sharing with you things they don't agree with. Funny, I feel the same way! Like when random people vote to take away my rights. Fuck you.

Ps. I love it when people misuse quotation marks.

Ok look. This is the last thing I’m going to write to you. By the way, what happened to freedom of speech on this issue? I have every write to post about what I want. And yes, you have every right to comment on it. And then again—I have every write to delete it. So this could go on forever I guess right?
This is a very personal issue to me too and “people I have never met?” For your information, I have an aunt AND an uncle who are gay and who I love very much. I would never want to hurt them. My beliefs are strong and are PRO-MARRIAGE. Not anti-gay. And you talk about us changing our constitution? The only reason they had the right to get married in the first place was because of 4 judges. The people of California did not want that and then again, for the second time, it passes, according to the voices of California. Also, Arizona and Florida.
So cool. I respect your opinion, and I totally see your side. But it would be awesome if you would just respect mine and agree to disagree.

Before I can even begin, let's define a couple of words. "Write" is what you do with a pencil. "Right" is something given to you by the government. Ta-da! Now we can move you on to fourth grade spelling and comprehension!

If you were truly pro-marriage you would realize that there are things out there more threatening to your union than gay marriage. Adultery. Divorce. Pornography. The list goes on.

I find you to be a disgusting person to say you love someone while at the same time vocally proclaiming them to be a second class citizen. I'm glad I'm not part of your family.

Those 4 judges in California interpreted the state constitution as it was written. They didn't change anything. They didn't make anything up. They interpreted what was there. Nowhere in the state constitution did it say marriage was between one man and one woman. It said marriage between two people.

FYI. When the US Supreme Court ruled that segregation was illegal nearly 70% of America disagreed with them. If we operated by your logic and sided with the voice of the people, blacks and whites would still be in different schools, drinking from separate drinking fountains and riding at the back of the bus.
